Price Analysis advanced settings
Clicking on the 'advanced settings' button opens an expanded panel on the left side of the Price Analysis window.
You can place any analysis element (field) in rows or columns, depending on the desired overview.
Delete superfluous analysis elements by selecting a particular element, right-clicking it and select 'Delete'.
It is possible to modify column names by double-clicking on the desired element and saving the change by pressing the Tab key.
The change you make is automatically saved and is visible in the right side of the screen.
If you want to created a calculated element, you can do so by clicking on the ∑ button. The form for entering a new element will open. You can select an aggregated mathematical operation that will be used for your calculated element e.g. Sum or Average.
If you click on the button right of the text 'Logical Expression', a list of all available analysis elements will open and you can pick an element that will be used to create a mathematical formula.
In this example, you want to display the Unit Price converted into euros in a new 'Unit price in EUR' column. In order to do so, the selected element 'Unit price' should be divided (or multiplied) by the exchange rate, i.e. 7.5.
FILTERING OF ANALYSIS ELEMENTS
The displayed table can be filtered to include only specific values of any analysis element by selecting and dragging the desired item from the Analysis Elements list and dropping it in the Filters list.
The Select values from list tab displays a set of existing values for the selected column that can be included in the filter, while the Values tab allows the user to enter a logical expression for that column.
For example, suppose that you want to show only unit prices that are below EUR 1,000.00. In order to do so, you would select < (less than) from the mathematical operator drop-down field and enter the amount 1.000,00 in the Value field. To confirm, your would click on the Save button, and the filtered data would be displayed.
(PLANNED) PRICE COMPARISON
Price analysis data can be compared with different price types (planned price, previous year's price etc.) by clicking on the 'Price type' button.
The following window enables you to enter values for the predefined price types that will be compared with prices provided by suppliers.
To save the entered data, click on the Save button, after which the data will be displayed in the table.
